The Sun enters Capricorn December 21st, 7:59am Pacific Time. This is Yin Cardinal Earth, the Climber of the Mountain, who brings down the Wisdom to Share with the People. This brings the potential of dignified Leadership, Exceptional Examples, the Clarity of the Role-Model.
Where do you have Capricorn in your chart? This is where we are giving something back to the world.
We begin this Capricorn season with 5 celestial bodies in Capricorn - the Sun, Mercury, Juno, Pluto and Venus, recently stationed Retrograde.
We enter the season in a waning lunar phase, but after the Full Moon in Gemini December 18th. We are finalizing our time with the North Node in Gemini and South Node in Sagittarius. We are finalizing our year, 2021, a year full of so much growth, expansion, contraction, lessons, hardships, victories, setbacks, pain, pleasure, the stories of our lives.
Saturn is the planetary ruler of Capricorn, and there is much energy of responsibility with 7 celestial bodies in Saturn-ruled signs, Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn and Jupiter are in Aquarius, emphasizing the refinement of our work in the world, of the structures of our lives.
We have our third Saturn-Uranus square, an energy we’ve been working with strongly throughout 2021, Dec 24th.
Jupiter shifts into Pisces just before the new year, Dec 28th.
Venus stationing Retrograde in Capricorn still conjunct Pluto, coming to the next exact conjunction Dec 25
Seeing to the core of our relational dynamics, putting our heart through the alchemical fire, bringing our hearts to the altar of our soul. To what and who are we most dedicated to in what we are creating and building? Where must we stop building in a certain way and refocus our creative, generative energy so that we’re not simply re-creating the past? We need to stop building with the old plans. We can bring forward what we loved most about the old plans, but we must look at the truth of our current resources, our currently evolved values, our soul-aligned vision.
This doesn’t mean we’re abandoning something completely, not necessarily. This might be true in some cases, something or someone might literally need to completely be let go of. But it can also be a way of looking at things. A dynamic. A fantastical illusion of how you thought it was supposed to be must be dropped, in favor of the truth and beauty of what it really can be.
Where Venus is in her cycle, she is also in her own ending. Since being in the Gemini Venus Star Point cycle for the past 19 months, the focus has been on the creation of a story, or re-storying our lives for greater understanding, becoming more comfortable with duality, polarity and paradox, understanding the great cosmic truth that duality is inherent in life, but that it is also all one. Being able to sit with this BOTH, AND energy has been how we’ve come through the cognitive dissonance with greater mental clarity and capacity to really see the world we live in.
Venus is about to begin a NEW cycle in Capricorn, shifting from her evening star phase back to her morning star phase January 8th, at her Venus Star Point in Capricorn, after going through the alchemical fire of Pluto, literally dying to an old version of herself. An old story is dying, likely already dead. But we honor the gift of that story, all that it has given us, shown us about ourselves, shown us what we are capable of. She really wants us to know how powerful we are, and that even when we are dying to an old version that we’ve become comfortable with, we are always more beautiful, more aligned, more clear, more connected, more integrated, and that gives us access to even more of our creative power.
In Capricorn, Venus is reminding us that we can be BUILDERS. We can be strong, and even if we don’t know the full building plans just yet, we have more than enough to work with right where we are. Dedication is always rewarded. This gift will come to fruition eventually in the physical, patience is a virtue, we can re-train ourselves to not be blinded by the need for instant gratification. The immediate reward can be the power of our faith in ourselves, knowing and trusting that every seed we plant now is a gift for our future generations, for the legacies we will leave behind.
