Hi, I’m Nura.
I’m an astrologer, writer, and lifelong student of symbolic systems, spirituality, healing, and human transformation.
My work is rooted primarily in Vedic (sidereal) astrology, informed by more than 20 years of study across Western astrology, tarot, archetypal studies, yogic philosophy, and integrative healing traditions. I approach astrology not as a fixed system of prediction, but as a meaningful language for understanding cycles, timing, patterns, relationships, purpose, and the deeper seasons of human life.
Over the years, I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds as an astrologer, educator, counselor, and guide. Before dedicating fully to this work, I studied Global Development Studies at Queen’s University in Canada, with a research focus on food sovereignty and social movements. The themes of resourcing, healing, agency, and collective transformation have remained central to my worldview ever since.
My path into astrology and spiritual practice began early in life through a deep curiosity about meaning, consciousness, healing, and the unseen patterns that shape human experience. I was originally trained in Western tropical astrology, but over time my practice evolved more deeply toward Vedic astrology, which now forms the primary foundation of my work.
I’m especially drawn to supporting people through periods of transition, reorientation, creative emergence, healing, identity shifts, and meaningful life change. My approach is reflective, integrative, intuitive, and grounded, offering insight, perspective, and practical support for navigating the deeper patterns and choices shaping your life.
I currently live in the USA with my husband, daughter, and our endlessly spirited husky pit mix. Outside of astrology, I’m often immersed in writing, studying, dreaming, gardening, myth, music, and building the evolving body of work that is slowly becoming a Sanctuary.
